A Dream Deferred, Not Denied
Music was always a passion that whispered in my heart, but life's early chapters didn't leave room for it. In my mid-30s, I made a decision that would transform not just my evenings, but my entire approach to learning.
I decided to learn the flute and immerse myself in the rich tradition of Carnatic classical music. What began as fulfilling a long-held dream became a profound journey of self-discovery. The discipline required to master ragas, the patience to perfect each note, and the dedication to practice daily - these weren't just musical lessons, they were life lessons.
Learning a complex art form in my mid-30s taught me something invaluable: the ability to learn quickly and deeply never diminishes with age. In fact, the maturity and focus I brought to my musical practice enhanced my learning capacity. This same quick-learning ability, now blended with passion and purpose, has become one of my greatest strengths in mastering new technologies and leading complex cloud transformations.
